Curly maple

Bedside table incorporating elements of Chinese furniture. Top corners are 3-way mortise and tenon joints with 2 hidden tenons. Legs end in "horses feet" shapes. A shaped apron underpins the body. Top panels are bookmatched. Made of spalted maple from wind-downed trees at Hermitage plantation in Tennessee. Finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed varnish.
